Interview process

QIAGEN wants to hire talented individuals at all levels from entrants and young graduates to senior professionals. Interested? Here's what happens when you submit your application.

Step 1: Job search

Look for vacancies on our website here. Choose the job you'd like by searching for country, location, functional area, special keywords or job ID. Open the online application form by clicking "Apply Now". If you have a LinkedIn profile you can also use the LinkedIn button, or create a candidate account if you plan to apply again in the future. Then submit your application documents (CV, motivation letter and references) and include your earliest starting date and salary expectations. Further information on how to apply is available here.

Step 2: Contact

Your application will be first assessed by our HR team and forwarded to the appropriate hiring manager. We will then contact you by email or phone with further information about the status of your application or details of the next steps in the hiring process. If your application is no longer being considered, you will also be notified in person. We usually come back with feedback fast but in some cases it may take a while before we can get in touch.

Step 3: Interview

Recruiting usually starts with a phone interview to give you an overview of the position and learn what your expectations are for working at QIAGEN. In an ongoing process personal interviews will follow, with the number depending on the level of the job in question. You will certainly meet your future manager and HR manager. Team fit and personality are crucial for us. Tell us what makes you unique and why are you the best fit for the job. Convince us with your personality and expertise.

Step 4: Contract

Once you've been selected, you will an attractive offer within days. If you have any questions before you start work, contact your local HR representative. Even if you haven't been selected, you will be notified in person and we would certainly encourage you to apply for future vacancies. Depending on your profile, we may well contact you directly when the next suitable position comes up, providing you allow us to keep your personal data.

Step 5: Onboarding

On your first day at QIAGEN, your manager will help you to get  to know your new role and environment, your colleagues, important counterparts in other departments, and your tasks and responsibilities. QIAGEN Academy and our intranet will supply you with information about policies, procedures, organizational structures and various HR topics. After your probation period we usually conduct a feedback session so you can let us know how your first weeks went and what can be improved.
